OXS.eye app for iPhone and iPad

OXS.eye is document scanner app used to do a one-click scan of one or more documents or document pages like forms, invoice, receipts, business cards and so on. It converts scan results into PDF automatically, in high quality with less memory to the public gallery of your device. It is very simple to use and user friendly.

You can scan one or more documents one by one and say ‘Finished’ to capture each page. As a result, the PDF will be generated automatically and become visible in the gallery view. The app scans more than one document if it detects these in the same view. For example, a collection of business cards can be scanned in a single click. The default PDF size is ‘A4’, other sizes (A3,A5, A6 & A7) are also available.

The app works in such a way that it extracts only the focused document(s), transforming and converting into PDF automatically. The transformation will be mainly focused on the text part of the documents, so the quality of the transformed image will be high with less size. For quick and better detection of documents, the surface’s colour on which documents are placed should contrast to the document’s colour. For example, documents with light background colours should be placed on a black or dark surface.

While scanning, a coloured rectangle (green, yellow and red) indicates the distance between camera and document, meaning that green is good quality image, yellow is better and red is bad.

Scanned documents are digitized and scanned text can be shared.

The app is integrated with OXS.eco system (our web-based platform for the digital organisation of documents and information), meaning that the scanned document can be uploaded to the system using this app. Here the uploaded documents are safe, secured, and cannot be modified. The app also supports auto scanning which can be enabled via settings->documents->Auto Scan. Thus, the scanning process will happen automatically. Once done, the handling of scan results will be same as that of the manual scanning process. In case it is not detecting the documents in 10 seconds, it will capture the whole page automatically, where you can crop the document manually and say Finished.

Suppose the app is not able to detect the document you want to scan, then you can just take a picture, crop it manually and finish it.


The app has automatic lighting feature, meaning that if it finds the image to be dark, the light will be ON automatically based on the threshold set in the Settings->Camera Light . However you can switch it OFF manually by tapping on it or by changing the threshold value in the settings.

The app will have biometric security enabled if the security is enabled at device level.
